Jennifer Lopez flaunts spectacular figure in an intricate sequined pencil dress as she gets honor at GLAAD Media Grants

Jennifer Lopez was honoured at the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) Awards on Saturday.

And the 44-year-old recording artist sure looked ready for the spotlight in a pencil dress featuring a sequin design mimicking the branches of a tree coursing from her hemline to her throat.

The design looked especially striking against the nude fabric of the long-sleeved turtleneck dress she wore to the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles.

The I Luh Ya Papi hitmaker dressed the number up with a pair of black platform pumps, which matched her black nail polish and clutch.

Meanwhile, the mother-of-two accentuated her beautiful brown eyes with sky-high fake eyelashes and wore her highlighted brown hair long and loose with a centre part.

Jennifer brought her former back-up dancer boyfriend Casper Smart as her date, and the two were seen dining together and walking hand-in-hand through the venue.

Casper coordinated with his girlfriend in a sleek royal blue suit, teamed with a gold and white polka dotted tie and brown dress shoes.

The Jenny From The Block hitmaker received the Vanguard Award during the evening, ‘which is presented to artists and media professionals who, through their work, have increased the visibility and understanding of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community.’

She is an executive producer for ABC Family’s The Fosters, a GLAAD Media Award-nominated series about a lesbian couple raising a family of biological, adopted, and foster children.

Jennifer was inspired to produce the show because of her aunt whom suffered due to her sexual orientation and was unable to have her own family.

‘When it comes to gay marriage, I just believe in love,’ the beautiful brunette has said.

‘I believe that when two people find each other and love each other, they should be able to spend their lives together with all the same benefits and privileges as everyone.’

GLAAD CEO and president Sarah Kate Ellis sang Jennifer’s praises: ‘Through her work to bring The Fosters to life and by consistently speaking out as a powerful ally, Jennifer Lopez has not only sent a message of acceptance to LGBT adults and young people, but inspired new support for our community among her many fans around the globe.

‘Family is about love, and that’s a message Jennifer has shared with millions through her groundbreaking work on The Fosters.’
