In 2014, the prolific producer’s headphones company Beats Electronics and streaming music service Beats Music were sold to Apple for a staggering US$3 billiоn dollars, making it one of the biggest deals in music history. In addition to the monster deal, he launched his own record company Aftermath Entertainment.
